My goal is to keep you informed + without any confusion during this whole process. Photography sessions can include a lot of information + it can be daunting at times. But with Katelyn Marie Photography I aim to eliminate that as much as possible. If you have any questions about anything, please click the button below.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
I offer photography services for weddings, individual and couple portraits, engagement sessions, family, newborn, maternity, + more. All sessions are at a location of your choice, and my work is created by the natural lighting of the location picked instead of an indoor studio. If you have an idea or vision that I have not mentioned, contact me today and I’d love to hear about your dream session!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR A PORTRAIT SESSION?
To perfectly illuminate who you are, it is important to dress in a way that best represents you! I like to tell my clients to pick out an outfit that is comfy to move around in + is classic and timeless. I would suggest avoiding anything too formal or distracting, as well as anything too busy like patterns. Colors can affect the overall look of your pictures, so choose colors wisely for your shoot + if you are shooting with your significant other or family, be sure to coordinate outfits that compliment each other (don’t match too closely though).
DO I RECEIVE THE UNEDITED IMAGES OR RAW FILES?
No, you will not receive unedited images or RAW files from your shoot because the editing I have done to your photos represents my capabilities as your photographer + the brand that I have built with Katelyn Marie Photography.
WILL I HAVE OWNERSHIP OF THE PHOTOS?
Yes, once I have sent you your online gallery, you have the rights to do whatever you would like with the photographs. I do, however, ask for credit by name for any use of my work, like sharing the photos to social media.
​DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?
Yes, a million times YES!!! I highly recommend doing an engagement session with your photographer prior to your big day! It is a cool opportunity for you to get to know your photographer + get used to being behind the camera with your significant other. Picking the location of your engagement session should be meaningful to your relationship, like the place you got engaged or a place you frequented while dating. Engagement sessions are included in all of my wedding packages. Please reach out for more details about my wedding packages + any questions you may have!
​HOW DO I BOOK MY WEDDING DATE?
The best place to start is filling out this contact form to provide details of your big day including wedding date, location, + a little bit about what you are looking for! After you have completed that, I will follow up with you within 48 hours to send you wedding package options + schedule a time to chat! This can be on a facetime, zoom, over coffee, you name it, so we have the opportunity to get to know each other + ask any questions you may have! If then you decide you want to move forward + secure your date with me as your photographer, I will send a wedding agreement your way to be reviewed and submitted as well as a 50% non-refundable retainer to book your date.
HELP!! I’VE NEVER TAKEN PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS BEFORE, WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HANDS?!
Believe me, I totally understand the feeling! Sometimes I feel awkward in front of the camera, + there is nothing wrong with that! You don’t need to be a professional model to be able to get professional portraits done. That is where I am here to help!
I like to describe my photography style as a perfect mesh of guiding + prompting. Making sure you get those pictures of everyone involved smiling at the camera, while also capturing the raw and candid moments of our sessions. I will help guide you into natural positions that will look authentic to you + provide you with prompts that help initiate movement to capture the likeness of who you are in each photo! My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera by creating a safe space for us to have fun, dance around, hug your loved ones tight, + capture the moments that matter most to you!
I DON’T KNOW WHAT LOCATION TO PICK FOR MY PORTRAIT SESSION!
I would love to recommend some places that best suit your ideal portrait session! Feel free to reach out to me through email or DMs + I would gladly love to help! My favorite place to shoot is anywhere in Forest Park or city garage rooftops, but I love shooting everywhere!

HOW LONG IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR OUR GALLERY?
For weddings, standard turnaround time for delivery of your photos is six weeks after the event date — however, depending on the time of year it may be sooner. All of my wedding packages include “sneak peeks” so you’ll get a few to share with family and friends right away!
For other portrait sessions, standard turnaround is two weeks after your session — however, depending on the chosen portrait session and time of year it may be sooner.
HOW WILL THE PHOTOS BE DELIVERED?
The photos will be delivered to your email with a link to your online gallery. You will then be able to download your photos, share the link with friends + family, share to social media, + order prints.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK FOR MY WEDDING DATE?
ASAP!! While I am fully capable of shooting your wedding on any timeline, I cannot guarantee the date you are wanting for your big day. I suggest booking with me (or any other photographer) first before planning anything else.
WHAT IS A "CAP + GOWN MINI SESH"?
Included with every Grad Sesh booking is the option to add on a Cap + Gown Mini Sesh!! It is a 20 minute session meant to help capture you with your cap + gown right as you are about to graduate!! The session includes 15+ edited images sent to you in a digital gallery.
Adding this feature to your Grad Sesh allows you to book your main session with Katelyn Marie Photography anytime during your senior year! This is perfect for those who want pictures done in the summer, fall, winter, or spring but do not have access to your cap + gown just yet!
